 France in the 1930's saw  many Dinky models being produced until war broke out and metal toy manufacture became very restricted if not obsolete to aid the war effort, with the eventual invasion of France obviously making life far more restricted as far as toy making was concerned. French Dinky toys are highly collectable and often demand high prices at auction. Though not as  realistic as their UK counterparts, the French Dinky toy nevertheless was a success to collectors and children at the time. Many are purchased unboxed but reproduction boxes are easily obtained to complete the Dinky toy for display and also protection.
